Continueing to blog.
This summer I would like to continue blogging. I plan to blog about memoirs of my summer adventures. Memoirs are one of my favorite things to write. I know my summer will be very action packed, and I will have many great experiences worth sharing about. :]
True Heroes.
I have a few heroes, one would be my mother, another would be God, and the last would be all our veterans. I hardly ever talk about why these people are considered to be my heroes because most of the reasons ar personal. But here goes.
My mother has always been a sturdy support system, and has never failed to be a solid rock for me. God allowed his one and only son to die on the cross for us. And last but not least our veterans dedicated thier lives so we can live freely.
I am very thankful for all of these people.
Green, the color of nature.
In Oregon green is everywhere you look. There are trees everywhere.
Football season is my absolute favorite time of the cheer. I love cheeribg the late games under the stadium lights. It’s a great feeling ro support a good team.

Last weekend I went on a small hike to see a waterfall in Bend. Hiking is a fun sport, and this trail looks very inviting.

This picture was taken on a street in Mexico, where I’ve always wanted to go. I love the paint colors on this building.

Earth hour.
Last night I was over at a friends house who had just spent her springbreak in vegas. I didn’t know much about earth hour, besides the many text message reminders I got from my hippie friends, but somehow the topic got brought up that vegas turned off its many lights during “earth hour”. I made a comment how I thought that was pretty cool, and that I wondered if it really made a difference. We both agreed that it definately did. Vegas alone uses so much energy, for nothing but entertainment. Maybe there should be an earth hour once a month.

Last weekend I went to Wildhorse canyon, also known as the official younglife camp. In the campground stands a large hill called communication hill. Micah, Amanda, and I decided we were going to hike the hill at 5:00, even though we were scheduled for an all camp photo at 5:15. By 5:10 we had already made it up the hill. We thought coming down would be an easy five minute task, we ended up cutting it very close, to close. As we were coming down the hill we saw the group posing for the picture. We yelled for them to wait as we sprinted madly toward the group and plopped down in front of the group. Utterly exausted. The whole camp was giggleing at our desperate attempt to make sure we were in the picture. This was one of my most embarassing moments but it definately gave the group something to smile about for the photo. It will also make me smile whenever I look at my red face and overly excited smile of achievment.

http://odeo.com/episodes/18115773-Hatchet-by-Gary-Paulsen
The Podcast I choose to listen to was Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. A lot of my friends have read the book and have said good things about it, yet I have never read it. My favorite parts of his podcast were how he incorporated a lot of music into the audio, the use of well chosen quotes from the story, and the use of different voices to build suspense. The music gave me the idea to always have something in the background because I think it makes it sound more official. The quotes he chose to read were easy to follow for ones who haven’t read the book. Also I thought the level of suspense the podcast held was just perfect. It kept me listening to the very end. This seems like a great book that is definitely worth reading. It also got me excited about our upcoming podcasts we are making! Hopefully mine will be as captivating and understandable.
